French Club will be meeting this jeudi le 24 août (Thursday, August 24th) after school. This will be our annual <<Chocolat>> meeting, so bring some yummy treats to eat while watching the movie.
French 2 students will be completing the French 1 review unit this week. We will look at interrogatives, possessive adjectives and a couple of irregular verbs this week. We will also complete Chapitre 4 reading -- "La famille de Julie." There will be a review exam on this vendredi (Friday)! Use your list of "20 Things You Should Know From French 1" as a "Study Guide" in addition to all of the handouts. All grammar, vocabulary and basic French expressions pertaining to greetings, saying good-bye, time, the date and weather are fair game. There will also be a reading comprehension section. All students should have presented a Solomon Grundy project by now.
Of course, you can still use the Français-Extra site and Languages Online site to practice and review! Go to last week's blog post to link directly to the sites.
This week I will begin my challenge questions. There will be a new question with each new blog post. You will have a week to respond to the challenge question, and then I will post the response while giving anyone who answered a shout out. Challenge questions will always be at the bottom of my posts. If you want to answer the question, you can write your answer on a slip of paper along with your name and give it to me personally or you can e-mail it to me.
Now for this week's question. On this day in history in the year 1911, a very important item was stolen from the Musée du Louvre in Paris. The item was missing for two years until the thief, an Italian handyman named Vincenzo Peruggia, was caught. What item was stolen from the Louvre?
Bonne chance! Ciao!
