All students received the final progress reports for the semester last Friday! We are almost done for the year. You have got to dig in to get things done to improve any low grades because we are running out of time. SLOs, EOCs and finals are right around the corner.
French Club - We will be meeting for each of the remaining Thursdays in avril to complete our United Way Shoebox project and Must Ministries lunchbag project. I will be delivering our boxes le 28 avril since the deadline is le 1er mai. Please continue to bring in shoe boxes and toiletries to fill the boxes. Any time that you can give will help us meet our goal and would be appreciated. Also, please don't forget to bring your community service forms for signatures. Sophomore Seminar - We are finishing up the 2 minute video project. We will be presenting starting on Wednesday. We will also watch and analyze Dropout Nation. You need to submit a green Falcon Flyer to analyze your last progress report results. Please don't forget to bring your permission slip and money for the field trip to Alabama next Thursday. In 2016, the United States elected a new president on Election Day on "the first Tuesday after the first Monday of November." France is now getting ready to elect their new Président. At present, there are five top contenders for the job. In alphabetical order, they are François Fillon, Benoît Hamon, Marine Le Pen, Emmanual Macron, and Jean-Luc Mélenchon (see below for pictures of the candidates). For this week's blog challenge question, I want you tell me the date of the first round of voting and the day of the week that elections take place in France (HINT: It isn't on a Tuesday)!
