French Club - We will be meeting very soon to select tee-shirts. We will also begin working on our United Way Shoebox project. Stay tuned for the date of our first meeting of 2020!
Français 1 - We are currently looking at elements of francophone culture, l'alphabet, les accents, les chiffres and ways to greet, say good-bye, talk about how you are feeling and introduce yourself to others! For class, you will need a binder or folder system to keep track of handouts, a pen or pencil, a dry erase marker and some highlighters. If you can get some colored pencils or crayons, that would be great too. We will use the online textbook, D'accord! - Level 1. You will receive instructions for signing up next week. We will be taking our first quiz over spelling in French next week. You will need to practice with your alphabet and accents.
Français 2 - We are currently reviewing all things French 1. We examined the top 20 things you should know from French 1 and will hit the basics like l'alphabet, les chiffres, les verbes and le vocabulaire pretty hard this week. We will also begin work on some short texts that will help with our review of vocabulary and structures. For this week, I want to send you to a cool website by the United Nations World Food Programme called Freerice. This site has two main goals -- 1. Provide education to everyone for free. 2. Help end world hunger by providing rice to hungry people for free. You can access it by clicking here -- www.freerice.com. Once on the site, click on the "New Subjects" tab on the right and select the subject you want. You can improve your French vocabulary and also try other languages. You can also work on your knowledge of Math, Chemistry, English, World Landmarks, Countries and Capitals and Flags or Famous Paintings. It's time to do something for others! Bonne chance! Ciao!
