Welcome back from Winter Break! I hope that you had some fun with your family and friends! I know I did!
French Club - We will have our Mardi Gras meeting this mardi le 25 février (Tuesday, 2/25)! Lots of yummy King Cakes directly from the source -- Paul's. Oh là là! Also, the 8th grade parent night will take place from 6:30-8:00 tomorrow night for any club students who can help us out. You will earn valuable community service hours for this evening event. We will be serving cake there too. Please be sure to pay for your t-shirt as soon as you can. I will be placing the order later in March. For front design only - $15, for front with back design - $18 and for front with name and number on the back - $20. Merci!
Français 1 - We are working on the Voki project to describe yourself as an avatar of your choice. Go to www.voki.com if you need to add some finishing touches. Don't forget to e-mail it to me. We will also work on regular -er verbs, subject pronouns, making negative statements, asking questions, numbers to 100, classroom objects and classes this week. We will celebrate Mardi Gras tomorrow! We will be watching more episodes of Muzzy. Don't forget to use your YouTube resources as well as the games and activities featured in Languages Online, Duolingo and Français-Extra.
Français 2 - We are working on demonstrative adjectives and vocabulary for parties and stages of life. This week, we will work on le passé composé. If you did not take le grand examen yet, see me as soon as possible to take this! We will celebrate Mardi Gras tomorrow! We will be watching some of the Roman-Photo episodes this week.
For this week's challenge question, I want somebody to tell me the date of next year's Mardi Gras (2021). As you will learn, the date of Mardi Gras changes year to year. Of course, you will earn cinq tickets for Friday's drawing. Bonne chance! Ciao!
