Salut! I hope that your Labor Day Holiday was great! I know mine was! My last blog challenge question was to name Tex's girlfriend from the University of Texas Tex's French Grammar site. Her name is Tammy.
In October, we are looking forward to an amazing kick-off for <<le club de français>>! We will be eating and watching <<Chocolat.>> Please make your plans to join us!! We will be electing officers and talking tee-shirts for 2019-2020.
This week, we have Picture Day on September 5th! Picture Day will require an adjustment to the regular schedule!
Français 1 - We are working on subject pronouns, the verb être, nouns and articles, giving the date and telling about the weather. Last week, we took a quiz over numbers. Be ready to make this up ASAP if you were absent. If your score wasn't what you had hoped for, you need to practice some more and try the quiz again. You can get some additional practice by trying some games in Français-Extra by clicking here -- www.francaisextra.com. You can also play games with Languages Online by clicking here -- www.education.vic.gov.au/languagesonline/french/french.htm. You can also refer to the Supersite for the online textbook for extra review by clicking here -- www.vhlcentral.com.
Français 2 - We took our large unit exam last week. There will be two separate grades earned on this exam. One grade for vocabulary and structures and one for reading comprehension. Please see me ASAP to make this up. This week, we will be working on some new vocabulary and learning about demonstrative adjectives in French.
For this week's blog challenge, I want you to research the significance of le 3 septembre with regard to American history. The Treaty of Paris was signed on this date ending a major American war. I will award cinq tickets if you can tell me the year that the treaty was signed and cinq tickets if you can provide me with the name of the war that was ended. You could start looking by clicking here -- www.history.com. Bonne chance! Ciao!
