Salut! The responses to my last blog challenge were as follows: Édith Piaf, Oscar Wilde, Chopin and Jim Morrison were all buried at Père Lachaise cemetery. Merci to all who attempted to answer!
French Club - We will have our next meeting this coming mardi (Tuesday) after school. Our tee-shirt design will be selected and officers will be announced. There is also a proposed service project idea in cooperation with the Medical Club.
Français 1 - This week, we are working with vocabulary for family and pets. We are also working with possessive adjectives, regular and irregular verbs. You will be putting this information together into a project on <<la famille.>> Additional details will be forthcoming! We will be watching Muzzy, Quack! and the Roman-Photo. We will be taking an assessment over time this week!
Français 2 - This week, we are working on rooms in a house and chores vocabulary. We will also examine the verbs savoir and connaître and l'imparfait. We took a large assessment over le passé composé. Please be prepared to make this up ASAP if you were absent. We are working on a projet entitled <<La maison de mes rêves.>> This is a project grade that is due on Friday!
Le 11 novembre marks Veterans Day which used to be called Armistice Day. The Armistice ended hostilities at 11:00 -- "the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month" in 1918. For this week's blog challenge question, I will award cinq tickets if you can tell me which war came to an official end
at this time. You can start researching by clicking here -- www.history.com. If you like your freedom and liberty, say <<merci beaucoup>> to a veteran for their service! Bonne chance! Ciao!
