Salut! Possible responses to last week's blog challenge include Dior, Givenchy, Pierre Cardin, Gaultier, and Yves Saint Laurent just to name a few!
This week we will have a few interesting things going on at the 'Brook. There will be a homeroom first thing on Monday and Tuesday. On Wednesday, we will report to homeroom or testing locations for the ACT, ASVAB or PSAT. You will then have 3rd and 4th block only.
French Club - There will be no French Club meeting this week! Thanks for the great meeting last week. There are some great officer candidates this year. We also looked at some tee-shirt designs. We will try to meet again before the end of the month!
Français 1 - We will have short classes from Monday-Wednesday this week due to the revised testing schedule. We will focus on making interrogatives and work with regular -re verbs in addition to continuing to work with classes, classroom objects, subject pronouns and regular -er verbs. We have also been looking at how school is different in France. There will be an assessment on jeudi (Thursday) over -er verbs, so use your notes, Verb Guide 2000 and flash cards or 6-door book to prepare for it!
Français 2 - We are closing out projects for la mode and looking at vocabulary for travel. Please complete your 8 vexing vocabulary illustrations for the new vocabulary from 7A. We will be continuing to work with le passé composé, the demonstrative adjective and indirect and direct object pronouns. On Wednesday, we will take a museum virtual tour in the computer lab.
One of the cool museums in Paris is Le Louvre. It is the home of the Mona Lisa or la Joconde, Vénus de Milo and la Victoire de Samothrace. Check out the website by clicking here -- www.louvre.fr. For this week's challenge question, I want to know which day of the week the Louvre is closed. Bonne chance! Ciao!
