Salut, mes amis! I hope that you and your family are doing well! A big shout out to all of the hard work that you have been doing! We are almost there! This week, there are several big events going on at the 'Brook! May 5th kicks things off with the Virtual Open House. It will be up and running on the PHS website with breakout sessions on Zoom beginning at 6:30 pm. May 6th will be a day dedicated to our amazing seniors for celebration, pick up and drop off of items. May 7th will be a day dedicated to our awesome 9th, 10th and 11th graders. Please consult the PHS website for specific times and details regarding all of the events.
French Club - I hope that you are all doing well. We are so sorry that we were not able to get tee-shirts, have un voyage (a field trip) or complete our service projects this year. With any luck, next year we will complete all of these things. For our members, please reach out and let us know how we can help you with any letters of recommendation or whatever things you may need at any point this year or in the future. You are a very special and amazing group of people. It has been a pleasure working with you and getting to know you!
For all students -- To access all activities, use Google Chrome and type in www.vhlcentral.com. From here, you will be prompted to provide your username and password (your initials and your lunch number). The activities will open when you click on the blue "Start." Don't forget to click "Submit" when you are done. If you have any questions or problems with the work, please don't hesitate to ask via email at any time. I will get back to you as soon as possible.
French 1 - This week, you will work on vocabulary, grammar and some cultural reading. The vocabulary will help you perfect descriptions of others and provide some basic professions. I included the flash cards for the unit as well. The grammar is essentially a review of numbers from 61-100 that we already learned before Digital Days. Don't forget about all of the great songs on YouTube to help you review your French numbers. The cultural reading will concern <<La famille en France.>>
French 2 - This week, you will work on vocabulary, grammar and some cultural reading. The vocabulary will cover words and expressions that you will need to make a hotel reservation. I am including clips about some of the amazing sites in Paris to go along with the travel unit. I included the flash cards for the unit as well. The grammar will teach you about adverbs in French. The reading will concern <<Les vacances des Francais.>>
Please take care and be safe! I miss you guys and look forward to the day that we can be together at the 'Brook again! Bonne chance! Ciao!
