Salut! Welcome back to the 'Brook! I hope that your Spring Break was fantastique! I know mine was! We have six short weeks left, and they are going to fly by! Grades are due by Monday morning. These grades will be your final progress report for the school year. Do what you can NOW to get your grades where they should be!
My last blog challenge concerned Spring Break for French students. French schools are divided into zones. Students get deux semaines (two weeks) out of school for Spring Break. The dates vary depending on the zone. Par exemple, students living in Bordeaux (Zone A) will have le 7 avril au 22 avril for break. Students living in Nice (Zone B) will have le 14 avril au 28 avril for break. Bravo!
French Club - Don't forget to pick up a permission slip for the upcoming field trip. We need your money ASAP! The cost is $20. Please turn in all money and permission slips to me as quickly as you can! We will be meeting on every jeudi (Thursday) in avril (April) to stuff boxes for the United Way Shoebox Project. Please bring any toiletry items that have been discussed in our meetings and small toys for children.
Français 1 - We are reviewing regular verbs, telling time, classes and classroom objects. This week, we will have an assessment over telling time. Please review your notes and practice handouts. We will also learn about family and pets and take a look at the final group of regular verbs -- the -IR family. Don't forget about Languages Online! It's a great resource to get additional practice. Click here to access the site --www.education.vic.gov.au/languagesonline/french/french.htm. Go to "Telling the time" to play some games that will help you review for the assessment.
For this week's blog challenge, I want you to check out the prices for some school supplies in France at a store called Monoprix. Click here to access the store's site -- www.monoprix.fr. Once the site opens, click on the tab that says "Courses." Next, click on the tab that says "Maison and Loisirs." Go to the department called "Papeterie, Bagagerie." I will award you with dix tickets if you can tell me the price in euros for any school supply/classroom object that we have discussed in class. Bonne chance! Ciao!
